On Thursday 21 October I hosted the launch party of the Cybill and Jones Houseplant Consultancy. The unique evening was called Plants and Prosecco and around 40 guests attended. From floor to ceiling, from shelves to window sills, houseplants were everywhere! My treasured guests circulated amongst 200 plants and 50 different species.
Elegant Fiddle Leaf Figs (Ficus Lyrata) greeted arrivals to the party, jungle-esque vines tumbled down shelves and rows and rows of mini succulents, Pancake plants (Pilea peperomioides) and cacti covered the counter tops. This occasion was not unlike the infamous Houseplant Takeover at RHS Wisley!
In addition to the plants on display, there was one area dedicated to all the essentials needed for plants to thrive indoors: Beautiful pots, organic plant feed, growing mediums, watering accessories, and stylish tools and propagation kits.
I love talking to people about their plant ambitions and this evening gave me the chance to answer so many pressing questions at the same time as showcasing a raft of exquisite plants and innovative ways of displaying them.
